As a freelance artist, Ingrid has worked with numerous commercial clients and private individuals, designing everything from marketing materials to tattoo designs to portraits. Her commercial clients have included the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Huskies Restaurant & Bar (Storrs, CT), the International Peace Games Festival, and Uncle Margaret’s (Northampton, MA).
She attended the University of Connecticut, where she wrote and illustrated a daily comic strip, Present Company, for the UConn Daily Campus. She received the Daily Campus Cartoonist’s Award for the comic strip, and in 1995 graduated with an individualized degree in Art and Human Expression.
Ingrid’s background lies in scientific illustration. In Connecticut, she was employed as a scientific illustrator for the Thames Valley Science Center. Her scientific illustrations have appeared in Clinical Immunology and have been displayed at the Connecticut Museum of Natural History.

Hey…followed you here from Facebook as I noticed you have been active recently. I had no idea you had a background in scientific illustration. Once upon a time, my college major was dual–biology and art–with the exact intent of textbook illustration. How neat! And how beautiful your work is, Ingrid (not that I am one bit surprised).
